On the evening of 1 December 2022, members of Lodge St. Olaf 1188 gathered for a special meeting to install Brother Trevor Cooke as the new Right Worshipful Master of the Lodge. The event took place in Cruden Bay and was attended by members of the Lodge as well as visiting brethren from other Lodges across the province and further afield, including some from south of the border.

The ceremony was carried out with great care and respect for tradition. Special guests included Douglas Nicol, the Provincial Grand Master of Aberdeenshire East, and Depute Provincial Grand Master Davie Wemyss, whose attendance highlighted the importance of the occasion and the high regard in which Trevor and Lodge St. Olaf are held.

Once the ceremony was complete, Trevor officially took office as Right Worshipful Master. The occasion was warmly celebrated by everyone present, with applause and congratulations from the assembled brethren.

In his first speech as Master, Trevor thanked everyone for their support and spoke about the importance of unity, friendship, and continuing the values of Freemasonry both inside and outside the Lodge.

After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a festive meal together. Toasts were made to the new Master, the visiting guests, and the future of Lodge St. Olaf. The evening was filled with good food, conversation, and fellowship.

The Provincial Grand Master also congratulated Trevor, praising his leadership and commitment to the Lodge.

The evening marked the beginning of a new chapter for Lodge St. Olaf under Trevor’s leadership, with members looking forward to the future with optimism and strong fellowship.

While some people are said to wear their heart on their sleeve, Trevor takes his devotion to his lodge to an entirely new level. His latest tattoo, proudly etched onto the nape of his neck, serves as a deeply personal and permanent testament to his unwavering commitment to Freemasonry and Lodge St. Olaf No. 1188.

What makes this piece of body art even more special is that it was created by Sarah Haynes, a highly skilled fine-line tattoo artist and the wife of Brother Jake Haynes. Reflecting on the experience, Trevor expressed his admiration for her work, stating, “Sarah is an exceptional tattooist—highly professional, with incredible attention to detail. I couldn’t be happier with the result. This tattoo is more than just ink; it’s a lifelong tribute to my lodge, a symbol I will carry with pride for the rest of my days.”

With this striking piece, Trevor ensures that his dedication to Freemasonry is not just felt but seen—etched into his skin as a bold declaration of loyalty and pride.
