The St Olaf Jewel Distinguished Service Jewel
In 1992 the brethren of Lodge St. Olaf commissioned the making of a new “Distinguished Service Jewel”. Only 5 of these were produced and the Lodge stated that these 5 jewels would be conferred upon brethren who had demonstrated such service to the Lodge as to be worthy recipients of a very exclusive honour.
It was also agreed that recipients would be entitled to keep their jewel for life and only after their passing to the Grand Lodge above would the jewel be available for conferment upon another worthy brother, however, due to moving away from the area Bro. J Gardiner P.M. returned his St. Olaf Jewel which has since been presented to Bro. Jim Connor P.M.
The following brethren are the recipients of the St. Olaf Jewel;
