The Ever-Thriving Lodge of St Olaf

Thus does the tale unfold of Lodge St Olaf, ever steadfast and flourishing, as new kin of stout heart and noble intent are welcomed into its venerable halls. Among the most recent to swear the sacred oath is Brother Russell Findlater, who, with warmth and great reverence, was received into the esteemed fellowship.

The chamber was filled to its very rafters, a gathering of brethren and honored guests alike, drawn forth to bear witness to a First Degree ceremony of rare and masterful execution. With precision beyond reproach, the sacred rites were enacted, earning the admiration of all present. In such a moment was the Lodge’s unwavering dedication to the ancient and hallowed traditions of the Craft made manifest.

Yet beyond the solemn weight of ceremony, the spirit of camaraderie did flourish, as voices were raised in lively discourse concerning the grand occasions that lay ahead. Among the most keenly anticipated is the mighty contest upon the field of sport – Scotland’s fateful clash with England in the battle for the Calcutta Cup, a trophy of renown and fierce contention. Come Saturday, the Lodge halls shall once more echo with cheer and song as brethren and friends assemble to witness the struggle unfold.

But lo! The path ahead is lined with further revelry and noble sport. Upon the twenty-eighth day of March, a night of strategy and wit shall ensue, as a gathering of masters of the game assemble for a great trial of skill – the Poker Night, where fortune and friendship shall weave their fateful dance. And in the golden month of June, the brethren shall make pilgrimage to the hallowed grounds of Perth Racecourse, where the Gold Cup, a contest of speed and daring, shall set hearts ablaze with thrill and spectacle.

As the formalities of the evening waned, the brethren did retire to ‘The Level’, that sacred hall of mirth and hospitality, where tables were laid with a feast of fine provisions. Laughter and good cheer rang through the air, as kin and guest alike partook in the warmth of brotherhood, for in Lodge St Olaf, such bonds are eternal.

With great labors ahead and grand feasts to savor, the days to come are rich with promise. In such a time has Brother Russell Findlater been welcomed into the fold – surely a most fortuitous hour to embark upon this honored path.

And lo! In the likeness of portrait stand Brother Russell, Right Worshipful Master Gordon Daly, and Immediate Past Master Trevor The Worshipful – a moment captured, a fellowship made stronger still.
