In 2005 Lodge members and their families took part in a caravan/camping weekend at Nairn. A fun-filled weekend of bar-b-ques and games, and plenty of ‘grown up’ refreshments resulted in a most enjoyable trip. The campers were accommodated in a range of options from caravans and motorhomes to small tents, and a sense of the fun and games enjoyed by all can be seen in the gallery below.
It was also on this weekend during a campsite football game that the desire to win caused John Simpson to take a shot at goal, forgetting that the keeper was a 9-year-old disabled child (Ewan Mackay, pictured above, who later became RWM of Lodge St Olaf), fortunately, or unfortunately dependant on your role in this episode, the event was captured on video and is also published below for all to see.
