On the evening of 1 December 2022, members of Lodge St. Olaf 1188 gathered for a special meeting to install Brother Trevor Cooke as the new Right Worshipful Master of the Lodge. The event took place in Cruden Bay and was attended by members of the Lodge as well as visiting brethren from other Lodges across the province and further afield, including some from south of the border.
The ceremony was carried out with great care and respect for tradition. Special guests included Douglas Nicol, the Provincial Grand Master of Aberdeenshire East, and Depute Provincial Grand Master Davie Wemyss, whose attendance highlighted the importance of the occasion and the high regard in which Trevor and Lodge St. Olaf are held.
Once the ceremony was complete, Trevor officially took office as Right Worshipful Master. The occasion was warmly celebrated by everyone present, with applause and congratulations from the assembled brethren.
In his first speech as Master, Trevor thanked everyone for their support and spoke about the importance of unity, friendship, and continuing the values of Freemasonry both inside and outside the Lodge.
After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a festive meal together. Toasts were made to the new Master, the visiting guests, and the future of Lodge St. Olaf. The evening was filled with good food, conversation, and fellowship.
The Provincial Grand Master also congratulated Trevor, praising his leadership and commitment to the Lodge.
The evening marked the beginning of a new chapter for Lodge St. Olaf under Trevor’s leadership, with members looking forward to the future with optimism and strong fellowship.
